Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with the owner. I purchased a four-week wheel-throwing class for my parents and me, but from the moment we arrived, the owner was sarcastic, condescending, and especially unhelpful toward my parents. Another employee made an effort to assist us, which we appreciated, but the owner’s attitude ultimately led us to request a refund. It’s a shame because we were genuinely looking forward to taking the class together, and I had planned to purchase a membership since I already have experience with ceramics. Instead, we’ll be taking our business to another studio.

I attended their four-week foundations class and was ultimately disappointed. I think the ratio of class size to instructor is far too large for you to really learn the skills well. Our instructor would walk all 12 of us through the steps at the same time from up front, but without modeling what that was supposed to look like themselves. They were just audibly giving instructions. There were never any pauses to make sure we had all reached the previous step, so it was difficult to keep up if you struggled with any steps. It made it easy to miss crucial elements of instruction, like centering your clay. And then after that the instructor didn’t really walk around to try and help further, they kinda just left you to your own devices. I had a great time working with clay and would absolutely explore that further, but not at this studio unfortunately.

Just took a one-time wheel throwing class and had a great time. They let you throw as much as you want and keep 2 pieces at the end. I made about 5 complete ones during the class. Still waiting on the final product. I did a lot better than expected. The instructor, Kalena, was very helpful for our big group. I felt comfortable asking her questions and for help. The studio is pretty hot, so bring lots of water. Nice vibes with plants and cool to see other student work as we walked in.

Really poor experience with management. I purchased a class as a gift and given some medical issues, the recipient was unable to attend. I attempted to reach out to the studio - only to find out they do not have a phone number. Additionally, apparently you MUST cancel or reschedule in writing - read the "terms and conditions" folks. Interesting the very lengthy hold-harmless and policies for a ceramics studio. After reading some of these reviews about it being an unsafe place- makes sense. Anyway, long story longer, after 3 emails and finally a response to one 3 days later - I was "regretfully" informed I could not cancel for a refund but could get a gift card for a future class. This medical issue will not allow for "future classes" which I had already explained in my email. Communication was dismissive and curt as well as slow in turnaround. It left an extremely poor taste in my mouth that they claim to not offer refunds due to material prep costs etc, yet they're willing to give me a gift card? Also - you can sign up for the class THE DAY OF - which begs the question... what are you actually prepping in advance? I didn't find this experience to be a welcoming, warm or compassion

I just finished Part 1 classes with Gabi, and it was such a wonderful experience. It’s a month-long, once-a-week class, each being 2.5 hours. Gabi was super sweet with all of us ( 6). She taught us well, and answered as many questions as we needed with so much kindness and patience. You can tell she knew her stuff. The class was fun, and kinda relaxing for me. With her clear instructions I was able to throw 4 pots on the wheel without them getting ruined. I loved it so much I signed up for part 2. My pots will be glazed and ready to pick up in a few weeks. Can’t wait to see them finished. If you love art or enjoy doing creative things I recommend you trying this class. Would be nice to experience with your friend or significant other. Gabi tried her best to demo or help us bring our creative visions to life. As far as the studio, we only stayed in the classroom, I haven’t really seen the rest. There’s a restroom available. Parking is available on 20th street, I haven’t had a problem with that yet. Supplies are provided for the classes.
